Here goes : IS-95A IS-95B cdma2000 1x cdma 2000 1xEV are all examples of CDMA technology invented by Qualcomm and (heavily) protected by numerous patents. If Qualcomm's CDMA stuff were as pass pass said, then : patents & trademarks would never have been granted and ... Qualcomm would not have prevailed on every single patent lawsuit. I assume the fact that "pass pass" has appeared here right now is an example of what Art Cashin of Paine Webber mentioned yesterday on CNBC (during his 3:05 P.M. appearance) : Art said (I am para-phrasing) : 'We started hearing a lot of these ridiculous, non-sensical rumors; all bearish. The long-time professionals down here on the Floor [of the NYSE] actually look forward to the point when we start routinely hearing these silly bearish rumors, because it indicates that the people who are short sellers are getting a bit desperate, and have run out of legitimate points to discuss."
