Well perhaps that would have been the better course of action, as I
lick my scratches (can't call 7% a wound) from todays close on CIEN.
My SOLV short and my PLSIZ long more than made up the difference though,
today was my best portfolio performance for 1997.

Just one (small) technical point Dave, is we were discussing the 52
week (and I assumed) weekly chart on FIBR. That one will take a while
to resolve, and it really doesn't look that great, trading below the
50 DMA and in a pretty obvious downtrend. Really hard to call this a
bottom.I think a 6 to 8 week consolidation period at these levels would
be healthy for the stock price. I'll probably be holding, although I
get tempted to sell (or buy) everything and put it all on PLSIZ to win.
