My goodness where are my best SI manners? I have been neglecting you haven't I? My apologies. For what it is worth if your book is still missing you may try convincing your wife to empty out her purse. You would be amazed at the things which may pour forth. Of course this could lead to trouble in your marriage if done in an insensitive manner. I would suggest the utmost diplomacy and discretion on your part. One tried and true method is to hide her car keys on Monday morning. Then just stand back and wait for her to empty the contents of her purse on the kitchen counter. It's only a matter of time until this is what it will take for her to convince herself that her keys are not in fact in her purse. After having retrieved your book with a nice "Hey I was looking for that just the other day" and of course a loving peck on the cheek, or where ever you think won't get you punched, you can make her day by finding her car keys and getting out the door in time for work.
