You cannot be serious about this "neutral standards body" for the Windows API. Name one person qualified to design OS APIs who has no personal or professional conflict of interest.

Do you also think NSCP should be forced to put their non-standard browser extensions under control of some public committee? After all, they have 75% browser share. Or maybe NSCP should be forced to ship MSFT, IBM, SPRY, and SUNW code in their browser so everyone has "equal access".

Setting aside the fairness issues, how could any "neutral" person care as deeply about making these technologies work as those who've put in the tremendous effort to create them?
