Hey E. and the rest of the Gang:

My Mom passed away Aug. 9, and things are beginning to return to normal around here. Thanks for your notes of concern back in May. I haven't been on the internet in three months---a strange and not unpleasant feeling. I must say Providence has a way sometimes, as I've been in cash since March, when Mom got sick, and I've been quite comfortable earning a 4% return in this crummy market.

Back in April at the low, I did invest some, but I thought then there will be other ops this summer and fall, and now we're back to the point I dipped in (Dow 9600, Naz 1700). This retest of the April low was real easy to see starting a couple weeks ago, esp. after that failed intra-day rally Friday?

So what now? I'd like to see a slight undercut of 1650 and then a bounce (Like what you're calling for, E.) With the quarter ending soon, and Oct. earnings near, there's certainly some volatile days ahead and the good possibility of a major decline if 1650ish doesn't hold.
