Not an opera, alexa, a musical movie, a really nice MGM number starring Ginger Rogers with lots of neat dancing, a chorus of Roman legionnaire tapdancers in those funny helmets, and some very nifty synchronized swimming interludes. The young lady's songs, though, are only in Act I as after the tongue deal it's hard to pull off. Also as it's late 1940's Hollywood they wrote out the rug-rat pie and substituted blackbirds.
