I received this note from an SI lurker regarding my previous post........

"In your comparison of the two companies, you note the phrase,
"Hemopure should not be used in patients with....... a known hypersensitivity to bovine hemoglobin..."
That doesn't necessarily mean any such sensitivity has been identified. It's a standard cautionary statement found in the package insert of every drug. Don't use this drug in individuals who have previously had problems with it. It's pretty much a legal "duh" statement. It's even found in safety information for oxygen."
