Paul, I think that we are pretty close to a bottom. I am no sure about getting into BA yet (I am eyeing reentry in it as well as MRK), the chart sure looks bad (MRK at least, there is support not far from here). I had 9600 as a target on the Dow and 1620 or so for the Naz, we sure are quite close. The problem is that to set a good low, we need another two occurrence or so of -1000 or worse on the tic, and that could mean another week or so of bad action, but it could turn on a dime, thus my deployment of cash here today.
