Hong Kong, Sept. 7 (BridgeNews) - Major Chinese copper cable producers are believed to have received large orders from the government for the planned reform of power networks in farming villages nationwide, trading sources in Shanghai said Friday. The orders will consume a total of about 700,000 tonnes of copper in the period of July 2001-June 2002, and are expected to lift China's copper import demand in the next few months.
