I think, if you think about it again, that there is a big difference between saying that you don't like something yourself, and saying that something is worthless and no one can or should like it.

Personally, I don't understand all the fuss about the antique handmade tea ceremony cups that are treasured by aficionados of Japanese art, but I'd never dream of saying they are worthless.
