I hope you're right; the thing that makes me fear you may be wrong is that if they wanted to just expel these eight people, they could have been on a plane already. There must be some reason for a trial in this case. Will they use these young people as "examples" of what can happen? I fear at least jail sentences.

Public protests, etc. are always in order--England and Neville Chamberlain learned that lesson the hard way.

Interesting how Afghan repression of Hindus and Christians was not a topic at Durban. Wonder why? (rhetorical question).
