William Coulter, President of Major General Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce that Falconbridge Limited has entered into an exploration option agreement on the Major General/Donner joint venture lands covering 35.5 square kilometres. Falconbridge by spending $4,000,000 on or before December 31, 2006 can earn a 50% interest which would result in Major General's joint venture interest reducing from the current 47.94% to 23.97%.
This agreement is part of a larger agreement between Falconbridge and Donner Minerals Ltd., SVB Nickel Company Ltd., Northern Abitibi Mining Corp. and Pallaum Minerals Ltd. and Major General which gives Falconbridge the right to earn a 50% joint venture interest in SVBN's 549.5 square kilometres of lands, in Northern Abitibi/Donner's 39.5 square kilometres of joint venture lands and in Major General/Donner's 35.5 square kilometre of joint venture lands by expending $23,000,000 on exploration by December 31, 2006.
Falconbridge will be the operator during the option period and to maintain its agreement on any one or all of the three parcels of land must spend a combined total of $2,000,000 per year on exploration.

Major General is extremely pleased to be part of the junior exploration group exploring for nickel at South Voisey's Bay. It has always considered the potential for making a significant nickel discovery on its land holdings and those of its neighbours extremely good. In 2000 it negotiated Land Use Agreements with the Innu Nation and made a firm commitment to the area by spending over $530,000 of its own funds exploring and drilling its acreage. It has always anticipated that a major nickel producer of Falconbridge's caliber would take an interest in the area.
