Re: What's at Stake

One member of the AGM audience asked a question concerning the Arizona Department of Mines. Mr. Doyle indicated that IPM would have no comment, as the matter is in litigation. Mr. Furlong then directed attention to Sam Shaw. Dr. Shaw reminded that audience that, before he was in the employ of IPM, in his role as a auditor for BD, he personally pulled the dirt sample, he personaly prepared and processed it, he personally created the slides on which to perform analysis, and he personally got the results claimed by IPM.

If I understood the story as it was related to me by an AGM attendee, Dr. Shaw staked his word, his reputation, and his career (and perhaps more) on those utterances. Not just that he believes the numbers, but that he reproduced the results, personally.

It was considered a key moment of the AGM
