Kastel, the idea here is to see what effect the National Energy Program has had on the commodities themselves. My point is really to see if growth in base-line generation has reduced utilization rates of the power generation plants.

I don't see it in the data, yet!

I'm speculating that if we get a cold winter south of the border, the Americans will continue to use NG as a base-line power-generation source. There is also the issue of OPEC maintaining high crude prices; fuel switching will not be a factor this winter.

I repeat, I'm speculating – but I do intend on taking a position later in the year, probably the day we hit full on the NG inventory scale and certainly after this take-over fever stuff subsides.
