That was a lovely post this morning, Allan. And the part about the market wasn't so bad either. -g

I think your points about expectations (that the stock market will always make folks money over time) and denial (that many millions of dollars of retirement money lost in the market in the past year will rematerialize soon) are well-taken. We won't get to that denouement until both of these factors have entered the public consciousness.
