Yes, perceptions are more important now than they ever have been.

To some extent, we are being victimized by the knowledge & information explosion. I have a feeling it's adding volatility to the equity markets. We all know a lot more than we used to know, as investors, and tend to react much more quickly, and much more dramatically.

In 1999 we had "irrational exuberance" in 2001 we have "irrational depression". Our economy is recovering at a pretty normal-looking rate. Everyone would like to see it recover yesterday, but it does take time. Meanwhile, SUNW continues to dominate the UNIX server market and continues to gain marketshare over their rivals. That's GOOD news.

Patience is a virtue.....
