I am not sure how some of these money aggregates affect prices.

Take MZM for example. The main component of MZM is money market funds. Do MM funds affect the consumer price index, or are they just another asset class like stocks, bonds or real estate? I know that I view my currently extremely inflated MM fund balance as just another asset class to be partially converted to bonds, stocks or real estate at some future time. I certainly am not using any of my MM funds to buy stuff, thus increasing demand for consumer goods and affecting the CPI.
