Kitco charts is where I concluded that 30 or 35 to 1 has been the historical ratio between gold/silver. Actually it's rather hard to determine it from the charts because of the huge and abnormal spikes in both metals since inflation in the US took off in 1973.

16 to 1 seems a big stretch to me. What time period is this supposed to relate to? Is there an article on Kitco that defends that position?
