Hi Elmat, <<"use one, pay for all" royalty deals for QCOM patents. There is nothing left to cross-license with which can box QCOM in ... Checkmate in three-dimensional chess>>

Surely the agreements do not cover patents not yet but soon to be issued, after the signing of the initial deal? I was thinking, add 3-300 patents of incremental improvements to the 1,500 in existence, introduce a variant system making use of all patents in the pool, plus the newly issued ones. Create a new 'global/regional' standard anchored by weight of potential customers already aggregated, and start shearing away at QCOM.

Maurice, what exactly is the license fee arrangement with QCOM, based on handsets produced, or customers registered, or what? and CB, how long are these patents and licensing deals good for?

Everybody and anybody else, what is QCOM valuation in relation to the expected royalty flow. Why does QCOM simply quit spending money, stop operating, and turn itself into a publicly traded annuity?

Chugs all, Jay
