Shhhhh, Scott, keep your voice down. The cops closed this place. Turns out it was a front for, well, never mind, let's just say that the regulars here are probably getting tested as we speak.
As for me, good friend, nobody's ever gonna test me again. I'm just like your cartoon guy who is perfectly satisfied to heal himself from now on. My body's doing very well on its own to undo the damage done by the doctors who slept through the lesson about, "First, do no harm."
It is truly beautiful here, down east, as the tourists have pretty much left their money behind and gone home. Scarlett and Melanie have reclaimed the beaches which are rightfully theirs. They had a great time this morning, meeting another Golden Retriever, and playing fetch-the-stick in the surf until all three of them were exhausted. Days like this make you know that all is right with the world.
I more or less keep track of your adventures on V's thread, and I'm glad that you seemed to enjoy yourself this summer. I find you to be an invaluable resource with all the articles you post; a virtual news service and most welcome and appreciated. In perusing SI most every day, I think I am seeing a gradual upturn in people hyping stocks ... maybe an encouraging sign?
