JQP I dont know why the NAPM data gets you excited for tech stocks. BW's US economy article gives a description of the NAPM that leads me to believe the data indicate manufacturing is improving in spite is weakening tech components.

Seems to me the NAPM data and the LEI are pointing to a turn around or at least a bottom. But this does not seem to apply to tech manufacturing.

One must remember that unemployment is a lagging indicator, the announcements have been ringing loud and clear for months. Should we really be surprised that the casualties showed up in the data?

Many people I know dont look at their 401K plans or portfolio data at the same frequency we have among these boards. But I suspect right now we have two camps, one that already capitulated tech and one that is on it no matter what because they have 20 years to retire.
