Hi CB, <<Last year some Chinese inventors were claiming they had invented a "flavor" of CDMA that didn't infringe on QCOM's patents. Don't know the status of that>>

The thing about electrical engineering, as opposed to quantum mechanics, is that there is 1001 ways to do everything in electrical engineering, and as time equation progresses, the 1002nd way is always discovered, and found to be better still. Making a profit from any one of the then 1002 ways is a separate subject, but generally dictated, as in quantum mechanics, in one way, requiring customers to first cover fixed cost, and then ...

Maurice is figuring that 1.3 billion Chinese will be using CDMAs, but failed to consider 0.01 billion will be figuring out a way to come up with the 1002nd way.

Chugs, Jay

P.S. Remember the RAMBUS!
