JT, shortin' is a risky and I don't blame you for not wanting to give it a shot. Quite a few years ago I shorted Ballard (covered and made a few bucks) when it was not a household name. I also shorted ISM information systems (covered and made a few bucks) and it was shortly taken over by IBM. So it is a dangerous game. However, in the current environment, it is much safer than say the last 2 - 3 years as only fundamentals will move most of the stocks now, not hype and blind faith. NASDAQ is approaching April lows. Back then people were hoping for a second half recovery. Things are much worse now. I can see blood in the streets, possibly true capitulation over the next 2 months and a sideways market thereafter.
