Nope. I stipulated “if the market was already falling”. So the market would have to turn bullish. If you were short, you would then have to be long. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be following the rules.

So, paradoxically, as long as you are on the right side of the trade going into it, you will emerge still on the correct side coming out.

In other words, nothing much would really change. For traders, at least. Only now, their left hand would finally know what their right hand had been doing, all this time.
