Whaaa?

First of all, the company has recieved *orders* totalling approximately (~) $2.3MM, not *an order* of $2.4MM. That FACT is in the *headline* of the press release, for Pete's sake.

Secondly, in the company's May 20 press release they projected sales of 400 units (~$15.8MM) through March 31,1998 (the end of their fiscal Q4) - not **$48MM** ("5% on the way to meeting the company's demand projections for this year"; 5% of the incorrect $2.4MM figure is $48MM) as clueless TMF Ralegh wrote tonight.

Lastly, if (the incorrect amount of) $2.4MM equals "1/5 of 1% of the way to meeting the company's demand projections for next year", MF Ralegh is suggesting that the company has projected demand of **$1.2 BILLION**, or ** ~30,307 units ** next year!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell is this guy smoking????? Did they fire all the smart guys?

The company expects to sell 12,000 units within three to five years. Analyst John Doss at Dominick and Dominick estimates a 10% penetration (sales of 12,000 lasers) by the year 2001 (~3 1/2 years from today). We'll see what Cowen thinks soon. :)
