Hello B.D.

It was really fun reading your post on your first experience with Papa John's pizza. Many points you bring up are good. Papa John's has been here in Indiana for some time now. I personally feel that their pizza is better than pizza hut's but both are very good in different ways. I really like pizza hut's pan pizza. I won't order any other kind of pizza at pizza hut. All the pizzas I have had from Papa Johns have had lots of toppings which is consistenly more than pizza hut. Pizza hut tends to not put any toppings around the edge of the pizza. Papa Johns is very pickup/delivery oriented and thrive on heavy volume such as Domino's. Pizza hut tends to be more interested in dine-in. Again I like both. Papa Johns always includes the jalepeno peppers and the butter sauce in the corner of the box no matter what toppings you get.

Likewise, the best pizza I ever had was served in Illinois. There used to be a pizza place called Garcias. There big thing was selling pizza by the slice. They had the most excellent stuffed pizza ever !!!!! Talk about thick...Great crust, tomato sauce and lots of toppings stuffed in a huge pizza for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, I moved away from Champaign, Ill. and since then the store they had in Bloomington, In. closed. I'm not sure if the Illinois stores still exist or not. Maybe you know ?

As far as Papa Johns as an investment, I believe it is a great long term hold as I have followed it for a year now. I have wished several times that I would have bought it as it would go up and split and stay strong in price afterwards in the long run. I actually bought PJAM in my son's stock account. PJAM, which is Papa Johns of America, is a seperate stock issue for a franchisee who owns several Papa Johns operations out east. It's price runs around 17 most of the time so I bought it hoping that it would go up as PZZA goes up. It has had a high of 22 1/4.

Did you ever eat at Alexanders Steakhouse in Champaign Ill. ? This was one of my most favorite dining experiences ever. What an excellent place.....

Hey got to run so hope you give Papa Johns another chance in the future as I have never been disappointed with a pizza from there.
