Try this link for Empress NG prices.

----------- I tried your link for the prices in question for the dates sept 01 to sept 08.
They are as follows:
2.61,
0.21,
1.51,
2.42,
2.68,
2.78,
2.49,
2.52
For the most part they are in line with what I have seen (except 0.21 and 1.51 these are obvious errors).
Now the only question is whether these are in Cdn or US $. They are the latter (US$) check any US site they give the same numbers. They would hardly report them in Cdn$. You like so many just assume what the numbers say and not what they actually say. Since you have made such a fundamental error at the outset your further arguments are with little merit. You further assume that all trusts will automatically continue current production into the future. If a trust is 50-50 oil/gas then with weakening prices they may decide to shift production 70-30 or even increase production to offset any declines. Hardly that difficult to do and even less hard to understand that that is exactly what they might. A look to the history of the longest trusts around PGF.UN and ERF.UN clearly shows such to have been the case in the past. They have changed their oil - gas ratios a number of times or increased or decreased production as market forces warranted. To say they can't or won't do so again in the future is just plain foolishness.
