Re College, Applications, and Diversity....Wonder if the day will ever come, when this happens..
* Ask for applications, no pictures, no financial background, just scholarship transcripts from previously attended schools. And a 500 word essay on why they want to be admitted, and what they think they could contribute intellectually. This essay would be done with a proctor in the room and turned in there. No outside help.
*Committee oversees each application and essay.
*Again, no mention of race, creed, color, financial background (which is for most people, not their money, but their parents money)
*Pick the brightest students based on their previous work, and their essay.
We would finally be on the road to an intelligent college graduate.....and intelligent citizen. |
