And FYI I think just about as lowly as Arafat as I do about Sharon. Both Scum of the earth.

The difference is that the Israeli people voted Sharon in as a direct counter to the actions perpetrated by Arafat and those he apparently is unwilling to, or incapable of, controlling.

And Sharon can, and will be, voted out when the threat of such violence has been eliminated.

Because folks would rather see their tax money going to social programs than military and security expenditures.

Unfortunately, the Palestinians will have to wait for Arafat to die before they can alter their political leadership.
