as for the rev reg prob....it really isnt why they cudnt recognize revenues--this is straight forward for anyone who has taken accounting....some firms stretched things and some play it conservative...its like us paying taxes to uncle sam...some people play it by the rules...some stretch and some cheat...it tells alot about the organization--that is one MAJOR value of financial analysis--why was this done? and what does this say about the organization?....i doubt the former CFO was an idiot

lets take it from the standpoint that sr mgmt wanted to aggressively post revs...by not relying on conservatism, earnings quality has to be downgraded and one must assess their intent...hmmm some insider buys (they are not allowed to sell before 6 mos. or they have to give money back to corporation)...i'll let people decide...but i never like cos. not erring on side of conservative earnings reporting...its arbitrary for me...either they do or they do not...and if they dont then i downgrade what mgmt has to say...DONT FOOL YOURSELF WHAT WAS DONE WASNT BY A ROGUE FINANCE PERSON---GIVE ME A BREAK...everyone has to decide why they did it...anyway u cut it the riskiness of this security just went up from the acctg rewrite

channel contacts like CSCO is the best...i also like to see product acceptance...the fact that CSCO, Samsung, Nortel are their partners is anecdotally good...what we need is confirmation of product sales and deployment

reading between lines is what the "monkeys" on the street are supposed to do but rarely do...cheers
