The simple answer there is that Prechter is waiting for Cycle wave 5 -- the DOW to new highs. That does not have to mean 16,000 mind you, as it could be a more modest new high. After that, he would see a Supercycle correction, the depths of which are unspeakable and would almost certainly lead to depression, social unrest, famine, and likely, war. Not a pleasant forecast.
