Hmmm. If that's what happened, then employment in the agricultural sector would have gone down, right? Do yourself a favor before you say things like that - there's a statistical compendium at your public library, "Historical Statistics of the United States, Colonial Times to 1970." Take a look for yourself. In what year did this phenomenon happen? In 1929?

While you're at it, you might read up on the history of the tractor. I'll give you a hint - gasoline powered tractors were used extensively in farming starting around 1910. Before that, people used horse powered equipment. Ever read about the McCormick reaper? That was invented in 1831. They also used steam powered equipment.

It's interesting that you think you understand wheat prices in 1929 - have you by any chance actually read about this?
