UNIFIED Technologies Inc., U.S. e-Government Solutions

MONTREAL, QUEBEC---SEPTEMBER 10, 2001 - 09:58 EDT
COGNICASE Inc. (Nasdaq: "COGI"), a provider of
advanced transaction processing solutions and Internet-based
applications, today announced the acquisition of UNIFIED
Technologies Inc., a rapidly growing e-solutions company with
offices in New York City and Albany, New York.

UNIFIED Technologies, founded in 1994, is an e-Business solutions
company uniquely focused on providing Internet technology services
and solutions to state & local governments in the north-eastern
U.S. UNIFIED delivers expertise in the areas of enterprise
architectures, enterprise security and appliance computing
structures by designing, deploying and operating complex and
customized systems that support large-scale e-Business
initiatives. The company has an established and successful
history of doing business with major New York state and New York
City government agencies and is well-positioned to compete in this
