MALIBU, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 10, 2001--JAKKS Pacific, Inc. (Nasdaq:JAKK) today announced that its Flying Colors® division has signed a three-year licensing agreement with Saban Consumer Products to manufacture and market a line of activity, stationery and back-to-school products based on the hit television series, ``Power Rangers®.''

Inspired by the Power Rangers television series, ``Power Rangers Wild Force,'' Flying Colors will produce products including stationery activity kits, portfolios, binders, day planners, writing instruments, tattoo kits, key chains and other stationery supplies. The line will debut this November at the annual School, Home and Office Products Association show, and is slated to hit retail shelves for back-to-school 2002.

``Over the past decade the Power Rangers property has become an evergreen franchise in the truest sense and is an ideal fit for our Flying Colors division,'' said Jennifer Richmond, Vice President Licensing, JAKKS Pacific. ``The broad line of stationery activity toys and writing instruments will allow kids to take the excitement of `Power Rangers Wild Force' with them to school, to play or just about anywhere.''

``We are thrilled to be partnering with JAKKS Pacific for Power Rangers,'' said Sharon Markowitz-Bennett, Senior Vice President of Licensing, Saban Consumer Products. ``Their strength in the boys action market and their expertise in developing innovative product lines will be an invaluable addition to our Power Rangers portfolio.''

Saban Consumer Products is at the forefront of the kids entertainment business and its success record has led the company to forge powerful alliances with key companies like Bandai, Hasbro, McDonald's, Toys ``R'' Us, and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. The organization delivers innovative properties to market in all forms of consumer products and promotions and -- from classic brands to breakthrough successes -- Saban Consumer Products' marketing drive has resulted in creating some of the most successful kids brands in the industry such as ``Power Rangers'' and ``Digimon.''
