I read most of it and would like to initiate the dialogue.

First of all, the Kazakstan issue is probably moot and probably not worth pursuing answers for at this time as the Company's option agreement expired March 31,1997. (How am I doing so far Gary?)Fooled you..http://fast.quote.com/fq/excite/news?story=2718240 This purchase was after the period covered by the report.

The company strategy seems to be to turn itself into a value play rather than a growth play by 1. Making use of the vacuum distillation unit (VDU) that has sat idle since its purchase in 1989. and 2. by adding a tolling configuration to maximimize the company's refining capacity.

Realizing the financial circumstances, the company has instituted a two stage plan: Phase I, due to begin NOW, construction of the asphalt terminal and production of asphalt and polymers. Phase II, due to begin next year would expand the Phase I facility. The company believes that its location is an extreme positive in this endeavor.

QUESTIONS:
Did the company start producing asphalt?
What are the terms of the Kazakstan deal?
Did AIPN receive any cash from Gold Star Refining?
see fast.quote.com
Note that in the above news release the company was looking for a partner to replace Gold Star and in the annual report they were going to go at it alone.
There is a lot of material here. Haven't even touched on the financials yet.
