Rocky Mountain (Fuzhou) Drug Co., Ltd. Opens Shop in Fu Ding

Vancouver, Canada - Rocky Mountain Ginseng, Inc.'s (Pink Sheets: RMGS)
company President, Brian Hodge, is pleased to announce Rocky Mountain
(Fuzhou) Drug Co., Ltd. has a new retail shop and distribution base to serve
eastern Fujian province.
On August 30, 2001, a new drug store, with a floor space of 200 square
meters, was opened by the Fu Ding City Drug Co., Ltd. It is the largest
drug store in Fu Ding city and is the first of 20 such stores to be opened
over the next 2 years said Mr. Hodge. Rocky Mountain (Fuzhou) Drug Co.,
Ltd. has a retail shop which is the focal point of the new store. It
occupies about 20% of the floor space.
The new store received major support from civic officials who are most
pleased that a western style retail drug store chain is being developed in
their city. Mr. Hodge added that participants in the opening festivities
included city Mayor, Mr. Chen Min Sheng, Vice Mayor Mr. Li Cheng Pan,
Magistrate Mr. Liu Lun Yan and General Manager of the Fu Ding Drug Co.,
Ltd., Mr. Xu Zu Liang. The opening received excellent media exposure and
was featured in the business section of the evening news on the local TV
station said Mr. Hodge.
Sales of Rocky Mountain's products were very brisk. During the first 4 days
since the store opening retail sales totaled 25,700 RMB (3,107 USD). The
shop's manager feels that monthly sales will average about 50,000 RMB (6,046
USD). Fu Ding Drug Company's General Manager, Mr. Xu Zu Liang, said that
the concept of having a specialized healthy food shop within the drug store
is being well received and he plans to do this in all 20 drug stores he is
opening.
"The Fu Ding Drug Co., Ltd. is the largest drug company in Fu Ding," Mr.
Hodge said. "It was established over 10 years ago."
One of the shareholders in Fu Ding Drug co., Ltd. is the Wenzhou Drug Co.,
Ltd. which is the major drug company in Wenzhou, an affluent city of 14
million people. Mr. Hodge stated that Mr. Zhu Yong You, President of
Wenzhou Drug Co., Ltd. and 3 senior executives traveled to Fu Ding City
August 31, 2001 to meet with him and Rocky Mountain's General Manager, Mr.
Jiang Shao Shu. The Wenzhou Drug Co., Ltd. sales are over 1 billion RMB (121
million USD) annually. "Their traditional source of ginseng has been closed
so the company is seeking a new alliance," Mr. Hodge said. "The Wenzhou
Company also expressed interest in Rocky Mountain's full line of healthy
foods. While discussions are only in the embryo stage, the prospect for
future cooperation appears very promising," Mr. Hodge concluded.
