Mary, my words must be taken within context. Only in comparison to high-end RISC servers and mainframes do Itanium servers look like commodities. There is a lot that Itanium servers from different OEMs share in common. You can't say the same thing about the RISC servers from different OEMs.

<To allow or encouraging the Joe Osha's, Dan Niles, and other shallow beings of the world to refer to the Itanium architecture as a commodity and letting them compare apples to oranges in some off hand self serving sound bite is a real shame.>

The analysts will say whatever they want. Itanium will be a huge success, and they along with the AMDroids will look like idiots.
