Saturn V, <<<Is Intel stock overpriced ?>>>
If the world is coming to an end, as some are predicting, then Intel and a few other stocks are indeed slightly overpriced.
But suppose, if a giant asteroid hits earth, but does not completely end human civilization, and everything shuts down - pretty much like Germany and Japan after WWII - how long would it take for civilization to get back to current levels of economic development?
With some help, Germany and Japan did it in less than 20 years - I think this time, if a similar type disaster hits us, we should recomver in much less than than 20 years.
There, that is, I believe, the worst case scenario for this economic downturn.
We should be back on our feets within 6 months to 20 years.
WRT Intel, if the world comes to an end, PE ratios will not have much meaning, but in a turn around gross margins should improve significantly.
