I think the FED and government can save the markets at times, but current circumstances will not allow it this time. If the US was just having a little trouble, they could do it. But as I said, it's not just us....it's the entire world that is experiencing this and there is no way the US fFED or the US government can carry the entire world financial system on their shoulders. Add to this the extreme debt levels of the US and the fact that we are coming off of one of the biggest market manias ever and we have a logistical problem that one government cannot fix.

And just to clarify, I am not speaking doom and gloom here, but there are going to be problems that need to be solved and worked out. It will take time, and unfortunately destruction of the excesses in the world economic system which by no means is meager.

The world will go on....just not the way it has.
