Yes, I'm willing to accept that the cause of the Palestinian exodus was a mixed bag, with a lot of Israeli psychological warfare and expulsions, but someone has to explain the contemporary observations: i.e., there were (at least some) Arab orders for evacuation, and many villages were abandoned before they ever saw fighting. And of course, the fact that the "effendi class" had taken ship before the Mandate even ended.

If only there had been a Palestinian Peace Now camp who were as willing to reexamine the Palestinian founding myths as the Israeli Peace Now camp was, things might have been different. But the PA does not allow dissenting voices.

I notice the site still has peace-loving quotes by Faisal Husseini on its masthead. Don't they realize that Husseini's last interview, where he called Oslo a Trojan Horse, should cast a new light on his credentials as a "moderate"?

Peace Now has not come to terms with the new reality.
