no comparison here, but we will take on Afghany

Kuwait was a walk in the park
an exercise of new weapons in a shooting gallery
the terrain was flat, visibility unlimited, nowhere to hide

Afghanistan is a distant land
it is filled with mountains, caves, gorges, places to hide
its mujaheddin are some of the world's most valiant fighters
I developed enormous respect for them during their Soviet War
they make rifles and bombs

Afghany is NOT to be underestimated
the Taliban are dangerous
Pakistan might offer a foothold landbase, but I doubt it

piece of cake?
not even close
a very unhospitable terrain over which to hunt and fight
a brave and resourceful people with a sturdy spirit

the Soviets failed there with superior weapons
just like we did in VietNam, with strong parallels

WELCOME TO THE BEGINNING OF WORLD WAR III
just like Pearl Harbor triggered our mobilized response
this will turn on a behemoth war machine

THIS ENGAGEMENT WILL END OUR US RECESSION, I PREDICT
