Attacks like these are motivated by a Jhiad mentality... some parts of world-religious doctrine teaches that the earth is corrupt , and one's place is in heaven . It is not just in Islam , but Judaism and Christianity as well... I think belief in the afterlife and salvation is fine , but must be reconciled with the concept that their is nothing truely wrong or sinful in reality in the world ....that we as humans don't create ourselves... The world has great beauty in it ...and we do not see it. I think it is time for some world religions to clarify and rethink their positions on good and evil, and the idea of salvation in the afterlife , in respect to how we live our lives in the here and now. That being said , after the biggest bubble inhistory we just lived thru , alot could be said for plenty of responsibility just stemming out of human greed . You don't need the supernatural to explain the simple fact that the monkey's reach , often excedes it's grasp....that is pretty self evident. 200 firemen lost in NYC? This an is epic tragedy.
