Hodkgins, I know I promised not to respond to you, but I will make a one time exception here. Want to try and correlate your post here with this clever little missive?

But where I got into this was in feeling that McVeigh had some legitimate issues, but chose a wrong target. I don't see why the government should feel it can tromp all over people and not suffer any cost for it.

A lot of people have been tromped on all over the world. This may all be blowback from Afghanistan, where the US certainly played a large role in making that country the fun place it is today. There will certainly be calls for retaliation. If anything approaching tit-for-tat is attempted, a lot more innocent people will die. Are you advocating that?
