<<Bush's shortcoming is his shallow treatment of the Middle East...I am convinced that as long as US leaders are working hard in the center of mediation between Israel and Palestine, our nation is safe>> JW: So true....IMHO, Bush should have given resolving the Middle East conflict THE HIGHEST PRIORITY and considered such measures as deploying former President Carter as a special Chief U.S. Mediator for an ongoing effort to help calm and settle the Arab-Israeli conflict. Historians will analyze this for quite some time. Lets hope we learn from these tragic series of events. Best Regards, Scott
