Psychologically, this feels as big as the JFK assasination. I was only 12 at the time, but that had an effect on people for months and years, and changed their view of the world. People in New York Area will be rerally shook up. People still in shock - I'm VERY careful driving around. Major shopping mall, Valley Fair, closed in Silicon Valley today. Stanford shopping center a only little lighter than usuall for before noon - but it may have been getting over flow from Valley Fair. I expect consumer spending will drop very sharply for the next few weeks. KCBS reports : Thai airways plane to LA, told to land at SF. Escorted in by 2 F-16s. LA seems to be on high alert....
