The downfall of Man will be all of these myths that 99.9% of us subscribe to. There is no God or gods.
I didn't mean to say that this was some intervention by God, what I meant is that there are groups out there, inside of our borders and outside that are at war with Western world, the ideas of liberty, freedom of speech, conscience, religion, free markets, which in turn generate prosperity that many envy.
Many in this country think that is is just a huge misunderstanding, that if we just talk to them, negotiate with them, appease them, everything will be explained.
This is a second attempt on WTC. The people who attempted to kill 50,000 people the first time (but failed) were comfortably sitting at a table in the prison, eating breakfast at the time the attacks happened, watching their brothers continue their fight.
If this isn't a symbol of weakness, I don't know what is. Punishment for attempting to murder 50,000 people is 3 warm meals per day, warm bed, heating, air conditioning, cable TV...
What I meant by waking up is realizing that the people who are at war with us can't be reasoned with, they have to be destroyed before they destroy us.
That is if we want to survive.
