Detonacions in Kabul, edge of city, a brit live on tv ... my wife says, haven't seen it [edit] - cbc says YVR access blocked completely, church group organising accomodation and other necessities for travellers diverted there, phone number soon to be available [on cbc am radio presumably] ... some guy was doing this on his own but now people can't go to the airport ... there are many stuck, twenty flights diverted there Border is virtually closed, only US citizens permitted to pass south, and security processing of them is extremely slow apparently, so many will be with us for a while and need various things, like friends Apparently on one of the 747s in Whitehorse the hijack warning signal went off ... don't know what's up with that but it landed safely i think
