What a terrible tragedy. I am feeling what probably most Americans feel...that this must be a bad dream, and all of the news just seems lacking in reality. I'm in the San Juan Islands, close to the Canadian border. All seaplanes have been grounded, and the ferry to Vancouver will only take walk on passengers...cars are not being allowed to board. As I post this message I'm looking at a beautiful harbor on a bright and sunny day. No one on this island is feeling "bright and sunny." Walking around town people are crying, and businesses everywhere have closed for the day. My thoughts and prayers go to everyone who has been touched by this tragedy.
