There was a recent explosion that may have killed one of the opposition leaders.Amhad Masood. If that is the case, the explosions today in Kabul may be in retaliation for what may be an assassination by the Taliban.

I doubt our government is prepared to move this quickly in any event. There was a huge intelligence failure in connection with today's attack, and I doubt the US would be in a position to definitively place responsibility this early.
