>Yes but they would know about it and know that history had proven all you had to do to get what you want is kill a few thousand Americans. Noone in their right mind would want to set a precedent like that.
If it would stop terrorist attacks I am all for it! I think a peace treaty in the Middle East the way I outlined it would go a very long way in eradicating terrorism. A forceful retaliation again will create more martyrs willing to die and take with them innocents.
>Some people only understand violence. If you want them to respect you and fear you, you have to kick their butts worse than anyone else ever has.
Well we here in the US are a violent society, just take a look in our TV shows, abundance of weapons, crime killing sprees, and the way we like to declare war on anything that moves (poverty, drugs, welfare, terrorism, evil Sadam, evil Milosevic, evil Khaddafi, evil Noriega, evil Grenadas, on and on and on). Yes we understand violence and we were just taught a lesson. So, what do we do now? More wars will create more wars IMHO. A relentless focus on solving the causes of terrorism is the best way to ensure a safe future for our kids but, as you said, since we understand violence we 'll unleash hell somewhere around the globe and the cycle will continue...We need real leaders here, Clinton and Bush ain't got the balls to think above the revenge factors and lead us to a safer future.
By the way I really love your name<g> |
